buy a rumored headless mac instead of a powerbook. savings = approx. $1000.
buy a 1985 BMW 325 for $300, already saving $200 by not jumping at it weeks ago. this ensures a startup in the hard winter months and a sufficient if only adequate backup to the everyday grind of the 2002. i'm buying a car 12 years older than mine and it would still qualify for classic tags.
give some bodyshop/dealer some $$$ to fix a saturn.
these are the current big tickets items in the first quarter.
