What do my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen iPods have in common?

NONE OF THEM WORK PROPERLY!!!!!!

but...but... BUT,

i have Apple Care for another 5 months on my 3rd gen.
goddamn thing went down without ANY signs of problems.
i just loaded the damn thing with new music - something i haven't really done for awhile.

• gen1 needs a firewire port repair(just ordered that); i can listen and charge but not manage files.
• gen2 is fucked and will be expensive.
• gen3 is soon to be enroute for covered repair. i cannot power it.

'a history of violence' was classic cronenberg, but over rated. it had its moments, but as a whole, it was too simple(in a bad way) and too poorly acted in key moments.
the 'we solve things by shooting people in this family' was poor conflict resolution. i thought the 'perfect' marriage was overdone but the conflict and emotions after things go bad is strong.
disappointed by hype to fully enjoy it.
and it was filmed in toronto.
fuck canada! my goddamn town shoulda been shown.
although, the bar from the outside where he meets the henchman was almost convincing me it was on real location.
i shoulda been suspicious as indiana does NOT have a sign that says philly 680 miles. it woulda had hick ohio towns(yeah i called your state hick; so is 4/5s of my state) and pittsburgh before philly woulda shown up.
