my expedition this weekend had barely started when my method of transportation(bicycle) sprung a leak — on a bridge 4820 feet in either direction and the original plan was to ride the span down the waterfront and back.
modifications to the day's agenda involved a stop at the local college for assistance to no avail and a spontaneous crossing of the Deleware via ferry.
this change reminded me of the saying "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade". indeed i did and stopped at the lapelle gallery to see a favorite artist of mine Martin Poole's latest work.

these pieces are poor examples of his work as his landscapes are grand and portrait work stunning.
and instead of lemonade, i had water ice and later a gin & tonic.
