the pleasure of driving one of the finest automobiles ever made was interrupted by a collision with a saturn, the ubiquitous american car whose parts will be easy to come by.
i on the other hand will need to replace the original bumper who didn't meet front-end crash safety standard forcing a redesign in 1974?the year after mine hit the streets. in addition, the complete front end body panel, which was already in need of replacing as it was rusting out under the turn signal housings. the classic two-tone drivers grill?the transitional piece from the all chrome to the all black 9ones appearing in later models.
amazingly nothing much beyond that, but that alone is easily 4 figure territory, not including the paint job.
no injuries other than pride and shame on the personal level. the damage to the other one hopefully was only superficial too.
bummed
depression is currently staved off.
