I *have* met some of my "digital age" pals, in some cases it went well, in a couple of errrr others it led to a bit of heartbreak (nothing permanent)..... then there are those I haven't met and truly probably never will. But we have our real friends, and our relatives (ergh whether we like it or not), and some of those people you see on the public transpo or walkin down the sidewalk or holding up the bar or thrashing about in the mosh pit (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) might be cool for a laugh, a pint, a snog, and/or a nice old-fashioned contact fist-fight!
All that said, I do know what you mean, as well.

i appreciate it.
it's that despair that grips one occasionally, where very few know you. you pour your heart out at time through wireless lines, cable modems and satellites and it's all rather intimate or personal and those that connect are miles and miles away.
