Mini skirt and On stage

04-20-2005

two mac products i recieved this week: the plasticsmith's mini skirt: an LED base that lights electric blue that sits under my mac mini. it has no redeemable value other than it looks cool and it hogs the lone USB port on the mac mini.
i justify the purchase based on this quote from ipodlouge's article on the skirt:
//I think the point is for a visual effect. Which everyone spends money on, from house paint to clothes, so why not?

the other i just opened. damned dealmac.com!!! they made me aware of buy.com's sale price on the 'on stage' by JBL. what's worse, i placed the order on monday and with no rush shipping it still arrived today, 40hrs later.

the sound is amazing and it is a solution to traveling iPod quality listening. i wish i had this abroad a few month's back as i blew the power to my entire hotel room through a converter/power exchange trying to charge my camera and listen to my ipod. i had no power for the night. luckily my ipod and charger suffered no damage but it killed my AC adapter for the camera.
lesson learned: don't buy cheap converter from Target.
