History of the Kodak DX 3700

11-09-2004

kata's father bought us a camera from his kodak years ago.
February 18, 2002 not two months after she gets it, but i leave it in my bag on the DC metro red line en route to my old office to see friends.
on it are pics i took the night before of the Ocean Blue show i attended as well as friends i hadn't seen in years.
also in the bag: two cds i had just purchased-one of which took me two more years to find again. my entire contact list, clothes and train tickets to return.

so in march of 2003, i purchase the same camera because it was a gift and what would happen if he was like "so where's that camera i gave you guys?"

i don't like this camera. it's bulky, slow and has a history of saying there's not enough battery power and shuts down. to remedy, you open the battery panel, close it again and turn the camera on.

with that said, i replaced it and even purchased the dock connection.

fast forward to yesterday when kata, in tears, tells me she has lost the camera.
**UPDATE** it was confirmed stolen. along with $$$, but, get this, not her iPod Mini! due to it's small size and camouflaged case, it was not a quick grab.**
sympathy can only go so far and then it becomes funny.
so two weeks before our budapest trip i have no camera, a dock that has no camera and a penchant for masochism as i eBay the same camera to see how ridiculously cheap it is now after 3 years on the market.
replace it?! are you crazy?!
i've a $60 dock, and battery and a flash card for a camera i do not have, why not replace it?

to be continued i'm sure.
