My Flyers loss

i saw a huge win on 5/20.

i wouldn't trade the experience for anything but a cup win.

after that, my team let me down in game 7.

i remember moving, in late may 2000, and spending all day and night packing the truck and cursing i was missing game 7 of the conference finals. when i was in radio range of the broadcast, i caught the last seven minutes of the game: lindros was knocked out with ANOTHER concussion, and they were scored on with minutes remaining.

i saw the third longest game in history weeks before, riding an emotional high...and then the game on the radio was over and i was silent for the last hour of the trip.
driving in silence, my hopes dashed.

and now, four years later, with a similar emotional playoff year, we are watching the cup finals.

with an inevitable suspension of NHL action next year due to the strike, i may wait another 4 year for a serious shot at the cup.

tampa? hockey in florida, contending for a cup?

i think it was the Ottawa game with the most penalty minutes in a a game. the fights
