last night i caught joel's (from The Faint) side project Broken Spindles.
as with The Faint's last live tour, it was a blend of aural and visual, which honestly, surprised me. the venue was a church basement and i walk in and he's sitting at a folding table with his wares and just...there. iTunes has the new album which surprised the hell out of me, but it is really is good.
unlike the first album, he's laid down vocals and while not profound, they are welcomed.
